Backpacks for School – It’s Nearly Time

It seems like summer just started but here it is August already.  School will be starting soon and bookbags will be needed.

Be-Bop Backpacks has eight variations.  Instructions are included for piecing, foundation piecing, and applique along with full size pattern pieces.  Add embellishments and create a truly unique backpack.

Thousand Pyramid Pack is a drawstring backpack for those light days when there isn’t a lot to carry.

The Chelsea Tote can be worn over the shoulder or you can unzip the single strap into two straps and wear it as a traditional backpack.

The Zola Backpack has two large pockets . . . one inside and one outside.  This bag is so easy to make that you’ll have time to make one for your student and then make one for yourself.

Designer Backpack lets you be the designer.  This simple pattern is ready for you to add your special touch, whether it’s with favorite fabric or lots of embellishments.

And, not everyone wants a backpack to carry all their things.  Sometimes a tote bag is wanted.  The Messenger Girl Bag is a great over the shoulder bag, and yet you can still adjust it to use as a backpack.  It will hold a laptop and has lots of pockets.

The City Bag has handles and a shoulder strap.  It’s nice and large (11″x17″) and has tons of pockets.  This pattern includes Lazy Girl’s trademark ‘No Fear’ zipper technique.  Make a really nice bag AND learn something new!

Okay, hurry up and finish your backpack sewing so you have time to get back to regular quilt patterns!
