Bargello and More – New Desinger Karen Gibbs

Bargello quilts are so eyecatching and beautiful.  Their wonderful flow of color is captured in many of Karen Gibbs designs.  She is the force behind The Quilt Studio and her patterns make the addition of bargello components simple to do.

In Bargello Lighthouse the water shows movement with the use of bargello.  This is a perfect pattern to start with if you’ve never tried this technique before.  The instructions include many designer tips that will not only help with this quilt but with others as well.

Ever made a rail fence quilt that looked like this?!  WOW!

This is Bargello Rails and it looks like stained glass, doesn’t it?  It’d be hard to make just one of these when it turns out so stunning.

Penquins of Parade is just right for a twin size bed.  The peguins will march along the edges of the bed. The quilt is long enough that the bargello will be the pillow cover with enough to tuck under a bit.

Substitute any favorite critter fabric for the penquins and you’ll be able to please the fussiest child.  This would make a great quilt for a college student too, with sport-themed fabric and the school colors.

And for Halloween…. The Diva  (also check our her Entourage)

and Christmas… Santa

If you like this Santa wallhanging there are two other winter-themed wallhanging that would look great together.

And of course, after you look at all of the patterns by The Quilt Studio, be sure to check out the rest of the quilt patterns available at Quilters Warehouse.
