Christmas Gift Ideas – More Quick N Easy Patterns

Now might not be the time to start working on an heirloom quality quilt to give as a gift this Christmas.  Unless you’re sewing non-stop, a  Mariner’s Compass quilt is not going to be finished in time.  A Giant Dahlia quilt will not be ready to bloom until closer to Spring.

But there is time to make a few simpler projects.  Here is a second selection of itmes you can still make before Christmas. You can give handmade!

Your kids or grandkids (or nieces & nephews, neighbor kids, you name it) will love these Animal Wrappers after bathtime.  You’ll need a towel and a washcloth.  Sew them together, add embellishements and you can make one of five different critters.

Here’s another idea for the kids.  Make Poncho Pizzazz with fleece for chilly days or with terry for a swimsuit coverup.  Leave plain or add flowers and/or fringe.  Quick, quick, quick to make!

These baskets go together faster than you can say “Ba-Da-Bing…Ba-Da-Boom“.  Make one or several with Christmas fabrics, add a bag of cookies and you have a unique gift!

Quilted Coins make great stocking stuffers or token gifts.  Or use it to make a gift card a little more personal.  3″ x 3.5″ with velcro closure.  Make them as simple or intricate as you like.

The Humbug Bag makes a great little gift all by itself.  Or you can add a few treasures.  This pattern comes in three sizes and you can make one in just an hour.

That should get you started.  Come back in a day or two and we’ll have a selection of Christmas items you can make to decorate your home or to gift.  This way you can take advantage of the sale (10% off all Christmas patterns & fabrics! until Dec 15th) and add some Christmas charm to your home.

Christmas Gift Ideas – Quick N Easy Patterns

There is still time to make gifts for Christmas and get that warm fuzzy feeling of giving handmade.   The added bonus is that you don’t have to fight the crowds at the stores.   Here’s a few patterns that would make great gifts.

Lots of places for little hands to hang on to this Brainy Baby Ball.  Easy and fun to make.   You’ll use this pattern over and over.

16 pages of things to do in this I Can Do It book.  Keeps little ones occupied for a long time and they’ll learn while they are playing!

This Child’s Coloring Bag holds eight crayons and two or three books.  So quick and easy to sew you can make several and have a few extras on hand “just in case”.

Three Quiet Games To Go with a tote, pieces and pockets.  Kids will enjoy the games and they can carry it themselves.

For the new Moms on your list, the Grab N’ Go Diaper Clutch will come in handy.  Just the right size to hold 2 or 3 diapers, some wipes, and a changing pad.  The pattern for the changing pad is included.

Now you might think you could use this as a gag gift, and perhaps you could, but Boomer Bibs will come in handy keeping dress clothes clean during a quick breakfast before you head to work or lunch at your desk the day you have an important client meeting in the afternoon.  Remember these come summer time – it might be fun to make a bunch and have them at a barbeque with messy ribs.

Make someone smile with these Cupcake Oven Mitts.  Very quick, very easy, and very useful!

Okay, pick one or two or more and start sewing.  You’ll love gifting these handmade items.   Check back here in a day or two or three and we’ll have more gift ideas for you.

And did you see that all Christmas fabric AND Christmas patterns at Quilterswarehouse are 10% off until December 15th?  Be sure to take advantage of the special pricing.

20% off orders of $20 or more!

Ready, set, shop!  What a deal!  With a threshold of only $20 before the deal begins you can’t help but save.

Quilting for Christmas is such a bonus.  You indulge in your favorite pasttime of quilting and you are able to gift a beautiful hand made item.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a large quilt or a small wallhanging or a little bag . . . the feeling is the same.   You, the giver, have warm feelings for the gift recipient as you are making the item.  The recipient will have warm feelings for you everytime the see or use your quilty gift.

Here’s a couple ideas . . .

The Mini Miranda Bag is a gift you can give most any girl on your list.  Make it special for her – her favorite colors or favorite fabric theme.  And you know it will be easy to construct because it’s by Joan Hawley of Lazy Girl Designs.

With instructions for four sizes, you can use the It’s A Breeze pattern for a baby quilt in soft pastels and then in a lap size with bold colors for a teen.

Table runners make a great gift.  Little Charmers 2 has three table runner patterns (just like all the other “Little Charmer” patterns).  The construction is simple and each look is quite different.  That’s three people to cross off your shopping list!  Don’t forget to add a charm pack or two (or three!) to your shopping cart.

Look over the rest of the quilt patterns and fabric and really take advantage of Cyber Monday.  Enter CYBERMON in your shopping cart before checkout.  Happy shopping and then happy quilting!
