American Jane Quilt Patterns

Have you seen the new quilt from American Jane?  Now And Later is a pattern that includes instructions for a baby quilt that finishes at 42″ x 62″ and a twin size quilt for an older sibling or for “later”.  This is the newest pattern by Sandy Klop.  If you like this one, you are in luck!  American Jane has lots more patterns!

Here’s another one made with just lots of squares.  Granny Square finishes at 57″ square.   This one is easier than it looks.  It’ll go together easily with strip piecing.

Not enough time for a Trip Around The World? Then try Day Trip Quilt.  Choose your favorite color scheme and start sewing.  Blocks are 20″ and are pieced with 2 1/2″ strips.  You’ll make a stunning queen size quilt before you know it.

Several more patterns have a square as the main piece, but Sandy has designed several applique patterns.

Birds and Boughs has a simple, classic look.  Six pieced blocks border a center applique potted tree with two birds.   Hearts, vines, boughs, flowers and birds make up the top and bottom border.  Instructions are in color.

All Nature Sings Quilt has a more mod / modern look. This is a bright, fun, colorful quilt that seems to shout Spring! Finishes at 50″ square.

Folk Art Christmas is a vibrant, colorful quilt that can be your first step in holiday decorating.  A perfect wall hanging (55″ x 57″) to welcome family and friends into your home for the holidays.

Charming Trio – The Baby Collection includes a baby quilt (40.5″ x 43.5), Pillows (16″ x 16″), and a Baby Bag (17″ x 20″).   Make one or all for a shower gift or new baby gift.

Vintage Christmas is a pattern for a redwork table runner with three snowflakes and embroidered ornaments by Indygo Junction.

Have some fun with Pinwheel Sampler.  There are directions for 10 different pinwheel blocks.  You can make them all or just pick a few of your favorites.  Use every color of the rainbow, or make a two or three color quilt.  Make the background dark and the pinwheels light.  There are lots of ways to vary the look of this quilt.

Use your own metal cookie cutters to make these adorable Cookie Cutter Pincushions.  Constrution directions are included, as are lots of embellishment ideas.  This must be the second best way to use cookie cutters!  Perfect for gifts.

Lone Pine Christmas is a 40.5″ x 44″ wall hanging.  Simple hour glass blocks surround a triangular log cabin block.  This quilt by Raggedy Ruth Designs will go together quickly.

The Cosmo, by Indygo Junction, is a retro inspired bag.  The pattern includes a interior divider and optional pockets.   You can make this casual looking to go with jeans or change the fabric and dress it up to go to work.

Isn’t this quilt adorable.  Perfect for hanging in a little girl’s room (I wouldn’t mind having it in my room!).  Mistress Mary waters her beautiful flowers as a cat watches and a bird flutters nearby. A full size pattern and freezer paper templates are included in this and all the other Nursery Rhyme Series patterns.

The Wooden Bear Quilts and Patternlets

Currently at Quilters Warehouse the designs of The Wooden Bear are being featured.  The talent behind the company is Kelly Mueller, who comes from a long line of artistic, creative folks.  Her patterns are fun and easy.  Kelly has several themed patterns that can be made and displayed as a group.  The newest is the Woodland Group . . . Moose, Bear & Mallards.

These are all table toppers that measure 24″ x 24″ when finished. Each includes instructions for a matching pillow and for a small project.  Make each table topper and put one on each of the end or occassional tables in your family room.  Make each of the pillows and scatter them on the couch and chairs.  Make the mini-hangings and group together on a wall.  And you have a “Woodland” makeover!

Country Santa is part of the “Country” group that also includes a Country Angel and a Country Snowman.   Each of these patterns includes instructions for a 20″ x 25″ wall hanging, a 14″ x 20″ pillow, and a decorative towel.  Kelly also gives you tips on how to give these projects an extra touch of country.

The Hanging Witch has a few friends . . . a Hanging Scarecrow, Santa, Snowman, and Bunny.   These all finish at 22″ x 30″ and would look great just hanging around your house.

The Patriotic group has several critters each surrounded by stars and waving a flag.

And, of course, we can’t forget the Straddling series of patterns . . . several different characters each holding a little something.  These are all adorable wall hangings.

The Wooden Bear Patternlets all give you a basic pattern and an idea for a quick and easy project. Then you can take that basic pattern and let your imagination take you where it will from there!  A lot of the patternlets are seasonal and they are all cute.

Wow, that was a lot and it’s not even everything that the Wooden Bear has to offer!  Check out the rest and if you have any time left browse other quilt patterns too.

Halloween Patterns Galore

Get started now on Halloween items and you’ll have a spectacularly spooky holiday.

Thirteen Spooky Ornaments can be used to decorate a “tree” or hang them on a ribbon and make spooky garland. Or scatter them about the room on different tables. These penny rug ornaments finish at 3″ x 4″ and could also be used as party favors.

It’s party time and these Dancing Witches are ready! You’ll use paper piecing and fusible applique to create this wallhanging.  And of course, the witches have a caldron and several cats – wouldn’t be real witches without ‘em. Looks like the witch on a broom is going to crash the party!

This friendly looking witch has her own carved pumpkin.  The pumpkin looks more friendly than scary too.  Straddling Witch has lots of Straddling cousins that you can make.  Keep a spot on a wall for a Straddling wall hanging and change it for each occasion and season.

Everyone needs someone to love.  This whimsical wall hanging shows some Pumpkin Love.  Fusible applique and reverse fusible applique are used to create this 30″ x 40″ project.

Pumpkin Garden is perfect for Halloween but you can use it all fall.  Finishes at 36″ x 36″ so you can hang it on a wall or use it as a table topper.  Just the right size to toss over a little one in a stroller who is out with the older siblings trick-or-treating.

These are just a few of your options.  Check out so many more Halloween patterns at Quilters Warehouse.

Kathie’s Kreations: PURSEsonality & Six Pack Mini Quilts

Kathie has a full line of purses that you can make and they each have a unique PURSEsonality.  All of her purses use the KK handles but you’ll only need one set – they are reuseable – just pop them in the purse you are currently using.

If you’ve never made one before you could start with My Fall Purse.  Use tone on tone fall color fabrics or go all out and use themed fabrics.  Either way, the leaves and pumpkins will ‘fall’ into place and help you step out in autumn style.

Apple Basket is another fall themed purse. Take it with you when you go apple picking! Or to shop at the Farmer’s Market.

Then get a head start on your winter PURSEsonality with Snowman In The Woods.   Isn’t he a cheery looking guy?  But we’re not going to see snow for a looooonnnng time.  Really!  Hopefully we can be as cheerful about it when it does come!

That’s just a few of the purses. But there was mention of six-packs.  No, not beer!  Six Pack Mini Quilts are Kathie’s own Kreation.  Six traditional six inch blocks are the focus of these quilts.  They are each surrounded in a Kreative way and tah dah! – you have a charming mini quilt.

Ohio Star has a dramatic, patriotic look to it.  This quilt finishes at 30″ x 42″.

Sister’s Choice would look great in Christmas fabrics.  It’s a perfect little wallhanging size to decorate for the season.

Kathie’s Kreations has several more purses and six pack mini quilts.  She also has several placemats and table runners.  Enjoy!
