Designs To Share With You – Part 1

Ursula Riegel is the designer of Designs To Share With You.   No stranger to sewing, when she began quilting she discovered a new love and it was FUN!  She offers clear step by step directions so you can have fun, too. Her patterns include full size quilts, but also include lots of small projects from placemats to tote bags to wall hangings.

Basketweave is a great pattern for new quilters.  Design consists of one block, with only straight seams.  How to choose the fabric and prepare it, all sewing and assembly instructions, plus quilting and binding are all covered in detail.  A first course in quilting!

Tutti-Frutti is another one for beginners.  This one has half square triangles.  And the instructions include details for three different sizes (lap, single bed sized, and table runner)  so you can make them all and get lots of practice on HST.  If you weren’t before you started this project, you’ll be an expert when you finish.

This sampler, Home Is Where The Heart Is, will teach several machine techniques.  Machine applique, foundation piecing, and curved piecing are a few of the techniques covered with detailed instructions.

If you are looking to learn all about applique, Cat Parade is a great wallhanging for practice.  Pattern includes instructions for Satin Stitch Applique, Invisible Machine Applique and Hand Applique.

This is just a sampling of the quilts offered by Designs To Share With You.  We haven’t even touched on all the other projects Ursula has to share!  Check back soon for part 2.

And in the meantime you can browse all the quilt patterns at QuiltersWarehouse.
