Start with a couple simple wall hangings. Paper Dolls finishes at 10 1/2″ X 20 3/4″ Dress the dolls in your favorite fabrics. You can give this to your daughter or granddaughter and tell her about how you used to play with paper dolls when you were little. Watch the confusion in her eyes as she tries to comprehend playing with paper.
Pansy Garden is a wallhanging that is just a bit bigger11 1/2 X 17 1/4″. Make this one for a friend instead of sending fresh flowers, or hang it in your own sewing room to brighten your days. Use your batik scraps to make these flowers . . . . they’ll be so pretty.
Mary promises that this lap sized quilt, Pickled Pinwheel, is easier than is looks. It might be fun to change it a bit and make all the center stars the same color and then make the other part of the blocks differents colors.
This Butterfly quilt would make a perfect baby gift. Especially with the matching wall hanging.
