Suns Out Quilt Jigsaw Puzzles

Suns Out has a variety of Quilt Jigsaw Puzzles.  Here’s two with quilting as the main theme…

Morgan Weisling’s Quilting Bee brings you back in time to an old fashioned quilting bee with all the women, young and old, sitting around the quilt frame.  You can almost hear them chatting away as they sew.  And little brother is under the frame listening and probably pestering his sister.

Several prize-winning quilts are being admired by attendees in The Quilting Show Circuit Jigsaw Puzzle.

Several of the puzzles combine quilt images with landscapes.  Here’s two of those…

The quilt in Cactus Flower And Quilt Jigsaw Puzzle uses colors found in the desert landscape.

In Floating Quilts Over Sisters Jigsaw Puzzle quilts hang on a line in the foreground while quilty hot air ballons float in the sky in the background.  There are chairs just waiting for you to “set a spell” and maybe do some hand sewing.

And here’s one where the quilt IS the puzzle.  Well, the quilt AND a couple of playful kitties.   Wedding Rings And Kittens Jigsaw Puzzle has 1,000 pieces and looks challenging!

This was just a sampling.  There are more than three dozen Quilt Jigsaw Puzzles to choose from.

More New Purse Patterns / Facebook First Friday

First, a reminder…. Don’t forget to go to QuiltersWarehouse on Facebook on Friday for the Facebook First Friday coupon code.  The code will be valid for all U.S. customers until Sunday night.  Don’t miss it!

Now for the new bags…

Annie’s Bag Purse Pattern is another winning design from Purse-O-Nalities of Palm Harbor.  It’s so cute!  The pattern has lots of options.  The handle can be a standard two strap or a new one strap version.  The sides can be cinched in to make the bag look a little smaller and a little bit cuter with bows.  You can add a pocket flap, a zipper pocket and customize the interior.   Choose one fabric for the entire bag or dress it up with a few of your favorites.   Make it your way!

Cruzer & Little Cruzer is a convertible bag that you can use in a variety of ways.   It makes a great gym bag, diaper bag, beach bag, overnight bag, or even a purse.   The straps are adjustable and convert from a backpack to a shoulder bag.  Lots of pockets, both inside and out, help keep everything organized and handy.  Choose your size… big or little… or both!

Girly To Go Purse Pattern is from Tiger Lily Press and is aptly named – it’s so “girly” looking!  Isn’t that all over ruffly trim pretty?   With a little tassle hanging from the front flap and handle bottoms that look like bows, you can’t get much girlier.  You get to choose from two styles.

That’s just three new patterns, but there are a gazillion more purse patterns to browse.   So, first head over to QuiltersWarehouse on Facebook for your coupon code, and then browse the patterns

Confident Beginner Patterns from Valley Quilt Studio

Caron Carlson of Valley Quilt Studio offers quilt patterns with multiple settings and multiple sizes.  Color layouts are provided to help you with construction.   Patterns for the “confident beginner” are easy enough to make and yet still provide design opportunities and interest for a more experienced quilter.  Are you a beginner but not confident?  You can be!  Just a step at a time gets it done!

One Block Wonder is made with four fabrics, only one block and endless settings.  You’ll be amazed at all the different looks you can achieve.  Instructions are included for two sizes… 80″ x 100″ and 53″ x 73″.   You’ll also get fabric selection tips and full color layout charts.

Shooting Starz is easier than it looks.  That complicated looking border is really part of the blocks.  Easy piecy as they say in quilt land.  You will need to be organized with this one but, still, easy!  All these lovely stars will finish the quilt at 69″ x 87″.

Stars Over The Prairie is the perfect patterns to showcase a favorite fabric that you don’t want to cut too small.  Use it for the large square alternating blocks, and repeat it in the border if you like!  Pull the colors from that fabric for your stars. A nice solid - or tone on tone that reads solid – for the “block surrounds” will give a sense of motion.   Instructions are included for both a Twin size (58″ x 81″) Queen (82″ x 106″).

So choose one (or more!) and build a quilt along with some confidence!  Happy quilting!

Two New Block of the Month Quilt Patterns

New year, new projects.  I know, we all have UFOs and we pull them out and work a bit and sometimes we finish one but starting a new project is always fun.  Block of the Month quilt patterns are great because you get to start something new without the guilt of having another UFO …. if you keep up and make your block each month it’ll be a finished project!  Here’s two new BOMs.

Sunflower Hill is a country village of five Sunflower themed houses along with Sunflower and Crow applique blocks and a picket fence border.  The instructions are for machine piecing and fusible applique.   Quilt finishes at 70″ x 70″.  If you like country charm this is it!

Lovebird Lane is just too cute!  (I’m currently working on two BOMs but I’m so very tempted to start this one also – I don’t think I’ll be able to hold out much longer!)  The pretty blue lovebirds go about their day busy with gardening, special deliveries, tea, and quilting.  The blocks and the pretty tulip border are easy piecing with no templates.  This one finishes at 72″ X 62″.

Both of these are six month projects.  Start now and you’ll be finished by Summer.

Do you want to be kept busy a little longer?

Playtime is a nine month project…..

and Stars Around The Garden is also a nine month project.

Crazy about stars?  Star Light, Star Bright will have you starry eyed for 12 months.

And that’s not all - there are eleven more!  Check them out.

Hopscotch, Vine Creek and Tuscan Wildflower.

As we put away our holiday fabrics for a while, we look for new projects and different fabrics to use.  Here are a few suggestions…

HopscotchHopscotch by Red Rooster has light pink flowers on a bright pink background accented with green leaves in different shades.  Paired with fabrics of multi-colored circles and a wavy green design from the same collection, you have just the right combination for a little girls quilt or a nice lap sized quilt to toss over a wicker love seat in a sun room.

Vine Creek by Kansas Troubles includes three different tone-on-tone almond / caramel / beige fabrics.Vine Creek Tone on Tone

And two simple large red floral prints, one with an almond background and the same floral print with a black background.  And smaller red accent prints… one with red berries and one with tiny red flowers.     Vine Creek red This collection of subtle fabrics with a punch of red would make a great lap quilt for a family room.

Tuscan flowers

Romantic, delicate blooms in pink with an occassional light blue bud on a light background and a large light blue flowers paired with pink daisy-like flowers on a black background are both a part of the Tuscan Wildflower collection.

Tuscan FusionsThese can be paired with the Fusions Blues and Pink and would make a pretty table topper for tea or a beautiful bed quilt for a guest bedroom.
